Music of the Times – Henry Rollins on Selling Out

Henry Rollins Telling it Like it Is

By Hardcore Skinny

Being a concert promoter and past band manager, this hits a home run in my book. Alot of really talented musicians rarely make it to the big leagues. To put it in perspective, the next time your at the little league of baseball. Look around because the odds of just one of those players making it is, none. Hard fact to swallow right? Musicians are in that very same boat.

Alternative music is just that, created and molded by radio edited material. It’s now what sells versus what they feel. I can honestly say that ” I have not really enjoyed music since the early 90′s.” Don’t get me wrong.  There is some tunes and bands out there that are really good, but over all they arent what they used to be.

Considering the generation gap between the ages. My parents feel music hasn’t been the since the Age of Aquarius and very stubborn about this point. To each their own, and Im with Henry on this point…..
